He is present in every room he enters, visibly, energetically, and with genuine engagement with whatever the room contains.

The Fi designated them as real to him and the function stack reoriented around that designation. His advocacy for their salvation is not logical. It is a commitment the Fi has made.
He cannot follow a simple plan without the Ne generating a better alternative before the plan has been executed. Every scheme he builds for the experiment gets revised because the most interesting available angle keeps presenting itself. The final solution - the door, the ending, the acknowledgment that goodness requires stakes - arrives not from a strategic analysis but from the Ne finally landing on the frame that the Fi confirms as correct. He does not plan his way there. He generates his way there.
Why Michael Is ENFP, Not ENTP or INFP
Michael is sometimes typed ENTP - the intellectual pleasure in the scheme, the range of the engagement, the apparent analytical delight in finding the most interesting available angle. The distinction is Fi versus Ti: Michael's most consistent quality is that the people eventually become genuinely primary to him.
