The monster's existence is what the inferior function's suspension cost.
His abandonment of the creature is the inferior Fe at its most complete and most catastrophic failure: the Te had implemented the Ti framework's most complete available solution, the solution had produced a specific present-tense outcome, and the inferior function - encountering the outcome for the first time without the dominant function's management structure providing the prior assessment - ran the only available operation: rejection. He ran. The inferior function had never been given adequate developmental conditions for the specific response the specific outcome required.
His pursuit of the creature is the Ti dominant's most complete and most ironic final operation: the framework that built the creature becomes the framework for the creature's elimination, and the elimination requires following the creature across every available configuration of the specific natural world, until the specific configuration produces the specific terminal event. He died on the ice. The framework was still running. The inferior function was still unprepared for what the framework had produced.
Why Victor Frankenstein Is INTJ, Not INFJ or ENTJ
Frankenstein is sometimes typed INTJ - the comprehensive plan, the long-range patience of the investigation, the private certainty. But INTJ builds Ni syntheses and implements them with Te. Victor builds Ti frameworks and tests them against the available evidence of what the specific mechanism of life requires. He does not synthesise life in advance of the experiment. He investigates the available evidence until the Ti framework produces the conclusion and then the Te implements the conclusion. The investigation is analytical and iterative, not synthetic and convergent.
The ENTP argument comes from the apparent range and enthusiasm of the investigation. But ENTP generates possibilities and finds the exploration energising. Victor finds the problem interesting and the Ti requires its most complete available solution. The interest is analytical. The requirement is the Ti's standard for internal consistency. He does not explore what the life-mechanism could be. He investigates what it is.
The clincher is his refusal to create a female creature. The Ti framework assessed the request - the creature's most complete available argument, delivered with the inferior function's most compelling available evidence - and found it internally inconsistent with the most complete available framework for what the specific outcome would produce. The ENTJ would have assessed the strategic implications. The INFP would have felt the moral weight. Victor built the framework, assessed the request against the framework, and destroyed the female creature when the Ti determined the request was incompatible with the framework's most complete available assessment. That framework-destruction is the INTP at its most complete and most honest.
